The Story Behind the Hook

It all began in a cluttered garage in the Eastern U.S., where a passionate fisherman-turned-inventor grew tired of tangled rods, damaged reels, and tripping hazards on the floor. There had to be a better way to store gear-and it didn’t exist. So he built one. Using a rotating concept and strong, compact engineering, he created a ceiling-mounted system that freed up floors and walls without sacrificing access or safety. The idea caught on with fellow anglers and tackle shop owners, and Hang-Away was born.
